Yo I'm Xander - an SMG/SM64 TASer, competitive SSBU player, and mathematics student. I don't upload very often but when I do you know it's going to be pretty epic and very random with a wide variety of (mainly Nintendo) content.
My main TAS projects are SMG Any% and SM64 120 Stars.
This account was originally created with a group of friends (we did not take naming it seriously), however I have decided to permanently retain the ERGC channel name in order to distinguish myself from the millions of other Xanders out there.

[TAS] Super Mario Galaxy - Battlerock Barrage in 1:00.73
Equiped with mega triple jumps, buffered crouch acceleration, slope jumps and wall pushes, Mario escapes out of bounds in Battlerock 1 to completely skip the auto-scroller.

This is without a doubt the most optimized TAS I have ever contributed to, and it would not have been possible without the help of @PurpleSunTAS (he is a GOD at slope movement). If you're somehow watching this and not subscribed to him, go fix that.
Special thanks to @usernameispassword4023 for being the first person to prove that it's possible to escape the saucer's gravity while facing backwards.

This is a demonstration of a new glitch/tech in Super Mario Galaxy. There are 5 frames to press Z, and 14 frames to press A with P2 after that. P2 must press A after the ground pound input (can't be on the same frame). If P1 is holding Z when P2 presses A, Mario will do a long jump. If P1 is not, then Mario will do a 2P jump instead. Thank you! The Any% TAS route we're using only goes through BR1 and BRL. However, we have an ongoing side project to make a TAS for every star in the game, so we will make LOTADs of the levels eventually (before Any% is finished). Normally you're on a moving saucer, but the mega triple jump escapes its gravity. You're not supposed to be on those slopes.

There should be a modification of SMG and SMG2 that lowers the time from star grab to the next star's start to like 5 seconds
There's been big developments in modding where you can have the same thing as 64's nonstop mod. BillyWAR also tried to hack addresses to go straight to the next star on fadeout, but it crashes on some stars.

Thank you! Basically we play the game really slowed down so we can control the joystick and button presses with frame perfect accuracy, and then rewind when something doesn't work (it takes a lot of trial and error). At the end we play the sequence of inputs back and record a video.
